A new Postcrossing stamp... from Czech Republic!

Ahoj, everyone! After Russia and Slovenia earlier this year, Czech Republic is about to enter the exclusive club of countries with their own Postcrossing-themed stamps!

The Philatelic department at Czech Post has some very enthusiastic fans of the project, who successfully pushed for the stamp to become a reality. The stamp design was commissioned to graphical designer and illustrator Maria Nogueira, who imagined a playful way to translate the idea of Postcrossing into the tiny format...

Virtuální filatelistická výstava EXPONET je prostor na internetu, kde lze ukládat, vystavovat, vyhledávat a prohlížet prezentace filatelistických materiálů (exponáty) v elektronické podobě. Vedle mnoha soutěžních exponátů (zpracovaných podle pravidel FIP), často i vysoce oceněných na soutěžních výstavách, je zde umístěna řada dalších zajímavých ukázek, které mohou návštěvníkům předvést a objasnit různé úseky filatelie a všeho, co s ní souvisí. EXPONET je nesoutěžní výstava, jejímž cílem je propagovat filatelii a návštěvníkům být inspirací, poučením a v neposlední řadě i místem, kde mohou předvést výsledky svého sběratelského a studijního úsilí. Na rozdíl od klasických výstav, jsou zde exponáty umístěny trvale, aniž by docházelo k poškození vystavených dokladů, a jsou dostupné návštěvníkům z celého světa v klidu domova i na cestách. EXPONET proto obsahuje jak aktuálně existující exponáty, tak i exponáty vzniklé před určitou dobou, které již neexistují.

The virtual philatelic exhibition EXPONET is an internet site designed for storing, exhibiting, searching and studying electronically displayed philatelic materials (exhibits). One can find here number of interesting philatelic presentations that can introduce and document various areas of philately as well a lot of competitive exhibits prepared according to the FIP exhibition rules, often highly rated on regular exhibitions. EXPONET is a non-competitive exhibition promoting the philately as well as inspiriting and instructing the visitors to create own stamp exhibits. For exhibitors it is a way how to simply present their collecting and study results and display them to the philatelic public. In contrast to the physical stamp exhibitions, the exhibits are permanently placed at EXPONET without any damage to the exhibited materials. The virtual exhibition is available to visitors from around the world with an easy access from their home or during the trips. EXPONET contains both the currently existing as well as older no more existing exhibits.

Die virtuelle philatelistische Ausstellung EXPONET ist ein Internet-Projekt, welches das Speichern, Ausstellen, Durchsuchen und Ansehen von Präsentationen philatelistischen Materials (Exponaten) in elektronischer Form ermöglicht. Neben vielen Wettbewerbs-Exponaten (bearbeitet nach den FIP-Regeln, oft auch auf Wettbewerbsausstellungen hoch ausgezeichnet) befindet sich hier auch eine Reihe weiterer interessanter Objekte, welche den Besuchern verschiedene Bereiche der Philatelie und damit zusammenhängender Gebiete präsentieren und erläutern. EXPONET ist keine Wettbewerbsausstellung, seine Aufgabe ist für die Philatelie zu werben und den Besuchern Inspiration, Erkenntnisse und nicht zuletzt einen Platz zu bieten, wo sie die Ergebnisse ihres Sammelns und Forschens präsentieren können. Im Unterschied zu klassischen Ausstellungen sind die Exponate hier permanent erreichbar, ohne Gefahr einer Beschädigung der ausgestellten Belege, und den Besuchern aus aller Welt von Zuhause oder auch auf Reisen immer zugänglich. EXPONET enthält nicht nur aktuell bestehende Exponate, sondern auch solche, die früher entstanden sind und nicht mehr existieren.
